Business Development Manager / Account Manager

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Manager / Account Manager to join our team based in Sydney CBD. The role is responsible for supporting activities related to growing a national customer base of corporate accounts and our Employee Benefit plan. A key contributor to the GoGet corporate growth strategy, this role has responsibility for generating revenue growth and achieving individual, team and organisational targets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Marketing, Accounts Management and other parts of the organisation to execute the strategy to support the growth of corporate accounts
  • Identify and sign up new corporate accounts:
    • Identify and engage with the major decision makers in the client organization
    • Build effective working relationships with those decision makers in order to grow the value of the account
    • Promote our GoGet Employee Benefit plan with new corporate accounts
  • Mine existing accounts for potential opportunities:
    • Maintain professional, trusted and long lasting relationship with our existing customers
    • Continually identify and support development of new opportunities within your accounts
  • Draw on your network of contacts for potential opportunities
  • Advise corporates on how carsharing can benefit their organizations
  • Provide monthly updates of business performance including progress against strategic objectives & budgets

What will you need to succeed?

  • 2-3 years' experience in Business to Business (B2B) sales or Account Manager role
  • Experience and understanding of carshare and/or car rental would be ideal
  • Proven track record of achievement in building strong sales pipelines and closing large deals
  • A high level of commercial acumen, account management and drive to achieve business targets and company growth
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Highly developed communication skills both written and oral and presentation skills;
  • Strong influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to adapt communication style to be effective with all levels
  • Focused, organised, and strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Strategic and sensible approach to problem solving
  • A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative
