Human Resources Manager

We are looking for a passionate HR generalist to join our Leadership team, reporting to the CEO. We’re after a multi-talented and flexible individual, who is a self-starter and can work using own initiative to execute our people strategy. You will act as a trusted advisor and partner to our senior leaders, managers, and employees. You will provide leadership and coaching on how to achieve an engaged workforce, and enable the delivery of initiatives that drive a high performance culture.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute upon the FY18 People Strategy, including the development and implementation of;
    • Performance Appraisal process across GoGet
    • Talent Management & Succession Planning for Senior Management Team, and identified critical roles
    • Ensure all policies are up to date, and communicated to employees
    • Identification  & implementation of a HRIS system
    • Co-ordinate regular town hall events, and communication to employees to drive engagement
    • Conduct Employee Engagement survey, and own the process of driving change as a result of the feedback
    • Development of training programme for the Call Centre team, to support the growth of capability in our offshore function
    • Re-design the GoGet induction process to reduce time drain on HR & Training Manager
    • Implementation of a Remuneration Framework for all GoGet employees
  • Providing specialist employee/industrial relations advice and support team leaders and managers, including active involvement and management of escalated cases
  • Educate managers on procedures for recruitment, selection, onboarding, and exit process.
  • Advise on best practice, and oversee to ensure adherence to GoGet policies and procedures.
  • Update of training to reflect changes in Work, Health & Safety policy. And ensure all employees complete the training modules on an annual basis.  
  • Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required to support current and future business needs.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or a combination of education and appropriate experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a HR Generalist role, preferably in a SME culture.  
  • Demonstrated experience resolving ER/IR issues in Australia
  • Experience working with Modern Awards and Employment Contracts
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR processes including recruitment, performance management, learning & development, and succession planning
  • Experience coaching managers to drive a high performance culture leveraging an understanding of individuals and their capabilities
  • Strong influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to adapt communication style to be effective with all levels
  • Focused, organised, and strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Have demonstrated business acumen and the confidence to articulate ideas and make decisions
  • Outcome focused with the ability to solve for issues, manage risk and provide pragmatic solutions
  • A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative
